Here is the final blog post of Christine and Iaan’s gorgeous wedding in South Africa. Editing these photos really took me back to Cape Town where I have met so many awesome and genuinely sincere people. I do miss you guys and you know who you are :)

Do you use any filter with your lens? I still trying to figure out how you get your photos to be so soft but yet capture all the details and colors? I feel like all my photos come out really bold. Like your b&w are gray toned with darks and lights but mine are really b&w. Do you have a secret? I saw your processing techniques but still having a hard time….

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I don’t like weddings. I really, really don’t. I was lucky enough though, to be at this wedding. Because it was a beautiful wedding. The sheer number of happy people was incredible. The love was certainly all around us on that day.
We all know that when Christine & Iaan got engaged everyone was talking about who the photographer would be. And then they said Julie Lim. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who said: “Who?”. But now EVERYONE knows Julie Lim is a genius. You captured the beauty of an impossibly beautiful day. It’s not an easy thing.
I get to spend a whole lot of time with iaan, and you ‘got’ him perfectly in your shots. He is the most honest person I know. A true gentleman, a real friend and a spectacular human being.
You did an amazing job. I don’t even want to call it a job though. I think it’s a calling.
We see so much hate and ugliness every day of our lives, but YOU showed us the love, and the beauty. Keep doing that. Thank you for sharing this vision of beauty with me.
